Zamorano University strengthens strategic partnerships with Honduras’ diplomatic protocol leadership

Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from the General Directorate of Protocol and Ceremonial Affairs of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras, led by its Director General, Luis Carlos Chavarría Reyes, a professional with more than two decades of experience in diplomatic protocol, institutional relations, and international cooperation.

The delegation also included José Andrés Andrade Alvarado, Deputy Director of Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial Affairs of the State, who brings extensive experience in the planning and execution of official events, as well as the coordination of high-level engagements, accompanied by members of his technical team throughout the institutional visit.

During the visit, the delegation held an executive meeting with the Rector of Zamorano University, Jeff Cohen, and members of the leadership team, where opportunities for collaboration in institutional relations, protocol, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships were discussed.

As part of the agenda, the delegation toured several campus facilities, including the Zemurray Cultural Center, the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant, and the Kellogg Center, gaining insight into the academic and production processes that define the institution.

They also visited academic areas and key spaces across the central campus, allowing for an exchange of perspectives on professional training through the Learn-by-Doing educational model, the university’s international reach, and its contribution to regional development.

This visit reaffirms Zamorano University’s commitment to strengthening relationships with key institutions in the country, promoting dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices that contribute to institutional positioning and the sustainable development of the region.

Zamorano University welcomed Mr. René Orellana Hakyer, Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in a visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between both institutions and showcasing the impact of the university’s educational model.
