Zamorano Unisversity hosted the signing of scholarship agreements under the Scholarship Program implemented in partnership with the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL), an initiative that continues to expand access to quality higher education for young Hondurans. Today, this partnership benefits more than 180 Honduran students across different academic years and degree programs at Zamorano University, representing an investment of more than L 60 million in scholarships.

Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from Fundación PROSPERA to strengthen institutional relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest, particularly education, professional development, internships, and agrifood innovation. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and discuss potential joint initiatives aimed at developing talent and fostering innovation with a positive impact in Honduras and the region.

Zamorano University participated in the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA), one of the world's leading scientific conferences in dairy science, through Dr. Marielena Moncada, Associate Professor in the Dairy Cattle Area.

AgroHub, an initiative implemented by Zamorano University with the support of BID Lab, continues to advance agrifood innovation across Central America through its Innova AgriFoodTech (incubation) and Ruta AgriFoodTech (acceleration) programs. Through these initiatives, 92 startups from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras successfully completed a comprehensive business development process, strengthening their capacity to develop innovative solutions with strong growth and impact potential.

As part of its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the expansion of international partnerships, a delegation from Zamorano University traveled to Germany and the Netherlands to visit leading agricultural technology companies, world-class research centers, and academic institutions. The purpose of the mission was to identify new collaboration opportunities that will enhance student learning and contribute to the advancement of the agri-food sector across Latin America.

Zamorano University officially launched its new Doctorate in Sustainable Agrifood Systems, an academic program designed to develop leaders capable of transforming agrifood systems, strengthening food security, and creating innovative solutions to address the challenges of climate change and sustainability across Latin America.

Zamorano University welcomed Alessandro Francasetti, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Honduras, as part of an institutional visit aimed at strengthening cooperation and exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas related to sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and the education of future leaders for the region.

Zamorano University was honored to welcome Tim and Ann Edwards, long-time donors and strategic partners of the institution, who traveled from California, United States, to meet in person with their four Guatemalan scholarship students and learn more about their academic and personal progress.
