Zamorano University and the Embassy of Costa Rica in Honduras Strengthen Cooperation Ties

Zamorano University had the honor of receiving the official visit of the Ambassador of Costa Rica to Honduras, H.E. Charles Hernández, during a day dedicated to strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration between the Embassy and the university.

La agenda del Embajador inició con un recorrido por el campus, incluyendo el Centro Cultural Zemurray y otros espacios emblemáticos que forman parte del entorno formativo de Zamorano. Posteriormente, sostuvo un encuentro con la comunidad docente costarricense que forma parte del equipo académico de la universidad.

La jornada continuó con una reunión ejecutiva con el rector de la Universidad Zamorano, Sergio Rodríguez Royo; la vicepresidenta y decana académica, Ana Maier; y el director de Desarrollo Institucional, Alejandro Osorio. Durante esta sesión se dialogó sobre posibles áreas de cooperación futura que beneficien tanto a estudiantes costarricenses como al fortalecimiento de proyectos académicos y de desarrollo regional.

Tras un almuerzo institucional, el Embajador culminó su visita con un cálido encuentro con estudiantes costarricenses que actualmente cursan sus estudios en Universidad Zamorano, reafirmando el compromiso de su país con el impulso a la educación superior agrícola de calidad en la región.

La presencia del S.E. Charles Hernández marca un paso importante en el fortalecimiento de las relaciones entre Costa Rica y Universidad Zamorano, y refuerza el papel de nuestra universidad como espacio de formación e integración para líderes del desarrollo sostenible en América Latina.

Zamorano University Welcomes FONAGRO Delegation to Strengthen Scholarship Program Partnership

As part of its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships that expand access to higher education, Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from Guatemala's National Fund for the Reactivation and Modernization of Agricultural Activities (FONAGRO). The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the scholarship program jointly promoted by both institutions to benefit Guatemalan students.

SEDESOL and Zamorano University Strengthen Access to Higher Education Through the Scholarship Program

Zamorano Unisversity hosted the signing of scholarship agreements under the Scholarship Program implemented in partnership with the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL), an initiative that continues to expand access to quality higher education for young Hondurans. Today, this partnership benefits more than 180 Honduran students across different academic years and degree programs at Zamorano University, representing an investment of more than L 60 million in scholarships.

Zamorano University and Fundación PROSPERA Explore Collaboration Opportunities to Advance Education and Innovation

Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from Fundación PROSPERA to strengthen institutional relationships and explore opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest, particularly education, professional development, internships, and agrifood innovation. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives and discuss potential joint initiatives aimed at developing talent and fostering innovation with a positive impact in Honduras and the region.
