The Wilson Popenoe Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to education and the development of future generations with a USD 500,000 donation to Zamorano University, aimed at expanding access to a world-class education for talented young Ecuadorians.
This contribution will provide at least 12 students from Ecuador with the opportunity to study at Zamorano University between 2027 and 2030. Beyond its financial value, the donation represents an investment in the talent, determination, and potential of young people who will be able to turn their education into opportunities for their families, communities, and countries.
La entrega simbólica del donativo se realizó durante una visita al campus en la que participaron graduados de la Clase Búfalos ’78, entre ellos el presidente de la Fundación Wilson Popenoe, Juan Álvaro Trujillo, y uno de sus directores, el Ing. Alfredo Castro. El encuentro permitió destacar una relación que trasciende generaciones y que mantiene vigente el compromiso de los graduados con la misión educativa de su alma mater.
Como parte de su visita, los integrantes de la Clase Búfalos ’78 recorrieron distintos espacios del campus, regresaron a lugares que marcaron su etapa estudiantil y compartieron recuerdos de su paso por la Universidad Zamorano.
