Zamorano and BID Lab Launch Innova and Ruta AgriFoodTech to Transform Agrifood Systems in Central America

The launch of the Innova AgriFoodTech (incubation) and Ruta AgriFoodTech (acceleration) programs, both part of the AgroHub: Innovation and Agrifood Entrepreneurship project led by Zamorano and BID Lab, marks a day of great significance. This milestone represents the beginning of a transformative journey for the agrifood systems of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
The project’s strategy is built on four key components: fostering innovation, developing capacities, strengthening the AgriFoodTech ecosystem, and consolidating strategic alliances. These pillars will not only support entrepreneurs and startups but will also generate a collaborative environment among producers, investors, public institutions, and international cooperation agencies.
The launch of Innova AgriFoodTech and Ruta AgriFoodTech symbolizes the start of a shared effort to turn innovative ideas into viable and scalable businesses. At the same time, it seeks to provide established ventures with the necessary tools to grow and create a positive impact in rural communities.
With this initiative, Zamorano and BID Lab reaffirm their commitment to transforming agrifood systems in the region, promoting a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous future for Central America.
