Zamorano and SEDESOL Partner to Award Solidarity Scholarships to 143 Students

Zamorano University welcomed Ms. Mirtha Gutiérrez, Secretary of State for Social Development (SEDESOL), for the signing of the Solidarity Scholarship Program agreement, a partnership that will benefit 143 students at the university.

During the ceremony, held on campus, Secretary Gutiérrez emphasized the Government of Honduras’ commitment to education and to supporting talented young people from across the country. Dr. Keith Andrews, Interim President of Zamorano University, reaffirmed the institution’s mission to prepare leaders for sustainable development in Latin America, noting that this support is essential for enabling more students to achieve their academic and professional goals.

The event also included the formal signing of scholarship agreement under the Solidarity Scholarship Program, strengthening the collaboration between SEDESOL and Zamorano University in advancing educational equity and opportunity.
