Conversation on Internships

With the purpose of providing information on relevant topics in the formation of students and emphasizing the importance of learning English as a global language, the Conversation on Internships was held. Students from the class of 2024 who have successfully completed their internships abroad participated as panelists in this event. This activity, aimed at first-year students, allowed each participant to learn substantial information about the internship application process. 

The activity was organized in collaboration with the Directorate of General Curriculum and the Associate Dean of Students (DAE) with the active support of English teachers. The main objective of the activity was to provide general information about internships, motivate the student body to strengthen their language skills, as well as to emphasize the importance of learning English in a competitive global environment. 

During the event, students had the opportunity to learn about the main requirements to apply for an internship, as well as the different communication channels within the university where they can go to request information. They also listened to the different experiences shared by students from the class of 2024, emphasizing the importance of working on a solid professional profile from the first year of study at the university. 

Activities such as these promote academic quality at Zamorano and contribute to the development of essential competencies to build a successful professional profile.

AGI – IFT FIRST 2025

A group of third-year students from the Food Agroindustry program proudly represented Zamorano at IFT FIRST 2025 (Food Improved by Research, Science and Technology), an event organized by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and held in Chicago, Illinois.

Durante el segundo trimestre de 2025, el Departamento de Agroindustria Alimentaria de Universidad Zamorano vivió una intensa agenda de formación, innovación y vinculación que reafirma su compromiso con la excelencia académica y el desarrollo integral de sus estudiantes. A través de talleres especializados, giras técnicas, un bootcamp de emprendimiento y participación en foros nacionales, se fortalecieron competencias clave para el futuro profesional de la comunidad estudiantil.
