The Wilson Popenoe Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to education and the development of future generations with a USD 500,000 donation to Zamorano University, aimed at expanding access to a world-class education for talented young Ecuadorians.
This contribution will provide at least 12 students from Ecuador with the opportunity to study at Zamorano University between 2027 and 2030. Beyond its financial value, the donation represents an investment in the talent, determination, and potential of young people who will be able to turn their education into opportunities for their families, communities, and countries.
The symbolic presentation of the donation took place during a campus visit by graduates of the Bulls ’78 Class, including Wilson Popenoe Foundation President Juan Álvaro Trujillo and Foundation Director Alfredo Castro. The occasion highlighted a connection that spans generations and reflects the graduates’ enduring commitment to the mission of their alma mater.
During their visit, members of the Bulls ’78 Class toured different areas of campus, returned to places that shaped their student experience, and shared memories of their years at Zamorano University.
