Universidad Zamorano and BAC Credomatic continue to strengthen their strategic partnership through the signing of a new collaboration agreement in 2026, reaffirming their shared commitment to education, sustainability, and the creation of opportunities for young people across the region.
The agreement was signed with the participation of Valeria Ríos, Vice President of Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Sustainability at BAC; Jeff P. Cohen, President of Zamorano University; Alejandro Osorio, Director of Institutional Development; and María José Baires, Fundraising Manager for Honduras. All highlighted the importance of this partnership in fostering regional development.
Since 2024, both institutions have worked collaboratively to develop a program focused on expanding access to educational scholarships, as well as implementing social and environmental responsibility initiatives.
This joint effort has led to impactful actions that combine academic advancement with environmental stewardship, including reforestation initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental conservation.
In 2025, the partnership reached a significant milestone with the formalization of an agreement that enabled the awarding of a partial scholarship to a Honduran student, who is currently in their second year of studies at Zamorano University. This opportunity represents tangible progress in the shared mission of preparing professionals who contribute to sustainable development in the region.
As part of the program’s environmental component, a reforestation initiative was carried out with the participation of BAC collaborators, as well as Zamorano students and staff.
This initiative reflects the comprehensive approach of the partnership, integrating education, sustainability, and community engagement to generate a positive impact on the environment.
With the signing of this new agreement in 2026, the program continues to consolidate with a projected timeline through 2028. Both institutions are currently advancing through the second year of implementation, strengthening their impact and expanding its reach to benefit more young people and the environment.
