Zamorano Students Participate in IFT FIRST 2025 in Chicago

Zamorano made its mark at one of the most important global conferences in food science and technology.

A group of third-year students from the Food Agroindustry program proudly represented Zamorano at IFT FIRST 2025 (Food Improved by Research, Science and Technology), an event organized by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and held in Chicago, Illinois.

This international congress is renowned for bringing together experts, researchers, and leaders from the global food industry. During their participation, our students attended keynote lectures, technical sessions, and interactive exhibits focused on key topics such as food innovation, sustainability, emerging technologies, functional ingredients, and even the use of artificial intelligence in the food industry.

In addition to staying up to date with the latest industry trends, the students had the opportunity to build valuable connections with professionals, academics, companies, and university representatives from around the world. This international experience enriched their global perspective and strengthened their preparation as future food agroindustry engineers.

Participation in IFT FIRST is part of the Department of Food Agroindustry’s commitment to providing a comprehensive education—bridging classroom learning with the global dynamics of the agro-industrial sector.

We congratulate our students for their enthusiasm, leadership, and for representing Zamorano on such prestigious international platforms!
