San Pedro Sula, Honduras – The 10th edition of the Producer & Roaster Forum (PRF) took place on March 27-28, 2025, at the Copantl Hotel & Convention Center in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, bringing together hundreds of coffee professionals from around the world. This highly relevant event in the coffee industry provided an opportunity for producers, roasters, and industry experts to connect, learn, and collaborate, driving the development of the coffee value chain.

In this context, Zamorano, one of the most prestigious institutions in agricultural and coffee education, played a pivotal role by offering a series of workshops covering key topics in coffee cultivation and innovation.

Over the course of the two-day event, Zamorano presented a rich portfolio of educational workshops, reinforcing its position as a leading entity in the sector. Below are the key presentations:

  • Carlos Guerra presented his workshop on vertical integration and entrepreneurship in coffee, a relevant topic that explores how producers can optimize their processes and develop new business models within the coffee industry.
  • Darío Enamorado delivered a lecture on education, innovation, and research in coffee cultivation, emphasizing the importance of continuous training and the adoption of new technologies in the sector.
  • Jorge Cardona addressed coffee process diversification and revaluation in the coffee industry, a critical proposal aimed at enhancing producers' competitiveness through innovation in their production processes.
  • Ricardo Peña led a workshop on coffee soil management, conservation, and health, highlighting the importance of sustainability in coffee production and its impact on bean quality.
  • Arie Sander closed with a workshop on intensification and innovation in coffee, focusing on improving farm efficiency without compromising product quality.

Zamorano's participation in PRF Honduras 2025 was an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the link between academia and industry, providing valuable insights on best practices, innovation, and sustainability in coffee cultivation. PRF Honduras 2025 was a key event for strengthening the coffee industry, with over 400 international buyers, 80 national buyers, and approximately 500 small coffee producers in attendance.
