Zamorano Wins First Place in the 2025 LABSAG International Challenge

Tres estudiantes hondureños de tercer año de la Universidad Zamorano —Valerie Rodas, Alma Almendares y Héctor Matute— fueron reconocidos con el primer lugar global en la IFAMA 2025 Venture Building Challenge, una competencia internacional de alto prestigio organizada por la International Food & Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA).

Three third-year Honduran students from Zamorano University —Valerie Rodas, Alma Almendares, and Héctor Matute— earned first place globally in the IFAMA 2025 Venture Building Challenge, an international and highly prestigious competition organized by the International Food & Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA).

The 2025 edition brought together 26 teams from six continents, including young professionals, graduate students, and universities from around the world. After advancing to the Championship Round, the Zamorano team was named overall champion, standing out among projects of exceptional technical and strategic caliber.

This achievement was guided and supported by the Department of Agribusiness, reaffirming Zamorano’s commitment to an academic experience grounded in rigorous analysis, applied innovation, and high-impact learning opportunities.

As the next step, the students will begin direct collaboration with Agraya to advance the implementation of their proposal, an invaluable opportunity to expand their professional vision and strengthen their leadership in international projects.

Zamorano University has actively participated in IFAMA initiatives since 2022, building a strong trajectory of growth, learning, and global exposure for its students. This victory reaffirms the value of these formative opportunities and the potential of Zamorano talent in competitive, world-class environments.

Zamorano and USSEC Successfully Deliver the Intermediate Dairy Cattle Course by SEC Americas

On December 2–3, 2025, Zamorano University hosted the Intermediate Dairy Cattle Course offered by the Soy Excellence Center for the Americas (SEC Americas), a continuing education program led by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC). The project, funded by the U.S. Soybean Exporting Executive Council, brought together 27 technical professionals from companies across Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
