Zamorano University recently welcomed a high-level delegation from the Government of the Republic of Panama for a two-day visit aimed at reinforcing strategic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration in agricultural higher education and sustainable development across the region.

Zamorano University is proud to announce its official membership in the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions (LACCEI), a strategic alliance that broadens our academic horizons and strengthens our commitment to delivering innovative, globally oriented education.

Zamorano University had the honor of receiving the official visit of the Ambassador of Costa Rica to Honduras, H.E. Charles Hernández, during a day dedicated to strengthening ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration between the Embassy and the university.

Zamorano University and the French Embassy in Honduras signed a cooperation agreement that brings to life the Yeguare Project: Protection of ecosystems, resilience, and economic development of rural communities in the Santa Inés watershed. This strategic initiative focuses on environmental protection and socio-economic development in the watershed by strengthening the technical and organizational capacities of rural farming families. It simultaneously contributes to the improvement of ecosystem services and the increase of income through sustainable businesses. This collaboration marks a strong step toward more equitable, resilient, and environmentally responsible development in a key region for Honduras’ water, food, and environmental security.

Last Wednesday, May 28, we had the honor of welcoming Mr. Paul Juárez, Director of Attraction and Admissions at EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey, who shared an enriching day with our academic community.

With great pride, Zamorano University and INCAE Business School celebrate the graduation of twenty-four (24) new professionals from the joint Master in Agribusiness Management program, a master’s degree designed to train leaders capable of transforming the agribusiness sector in Latin America.

Today, two important cooperation agreements were signed between key institutions for Honduras' development. The National Electric Power Company (ENEE) and Zamorano University signed a Memorandum of Understanding, while the National Investment Council (CNI) and Zamorano signed a Collaboration Agreement. Both aim to strengthen the country’s technical, educational, and productive capacities.

The 2025 Banana Summit, the most important event for the banana sector in Latin America, brings together industry leaders, producers, academics, and institutions committed to agricultural development in the region. Held in Guayaquil from April 28 to 30, experts and representatives from various countries gathered to share experiences, analyze trends, and promote sustainable initiatives around one of the continent’s most vital agricultural pillars.

The Pan-American Agricultural School, Zamorano, warmly welcomed Surita Sandosham, CEO of HEIFER International—one of the most renowned international organizations in the field of sustainable agricultural development and rural poverty eradication.
