Dr. AmĂ©rico Guevara PĂ©rez, president of the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM) from Lima, Peru, along with MSc. AndrĂ©s Casas DĂaz, Director of the Department of Horticulture at UNALM, recently visited the Zamorano campus to explore opportunities for institutional collaboration.

RubĂ©n DarĂo Dabdoub, president of the Universidad TecnolĂłgica Privada de Santa Cruz (UTEPSA) in Bolivia, recently made an official visit to Zamorano, joined by Miguel JimĂ©nez, Head of Internationalization, and Juan Carlos Peña, Head of Communication. The main goal of the visit was to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.
Each year, students and faculty from Widener University visit Zamorano for more than a week to strengthen educational collaboration and give back to the local community. During their time at the university, they work closely with the General Curriculum Department, focusing primarily on English, providing valuable learning and development opportunities.
As part of its commitment to innovation and leadership in the agricultural sector, DISAGRO, one of the industry’s key players, made an important visit to Zamorano to further solidify its technical partnership and deepen collaboration in critical areas of agricultural and agro-industrial production.
On Monday, March 3rd, 2025, Zamorano had the privilege of hosting Mr. Benigno Trueba, Executive Vice President of the Consorcio Azucarero de Empresas Industriales (CAEI), along with Mr. Héctor León, CAEI’s Director of Human Resources, for a strategic visit. During this meeting, a Memorandum of (MOU) was signed between both institutions, strengthening a partnership aimed at enhancing agricultural education, productive projects, and innovative research in Honduras and the surrounding region.
The Honduran Social Investment Fund (FHIS) and the Ministry of Community Development, Water, and Sanitation (SEDECOAS) recently conducted a strategic visit to Zamorano with the goal of strengthening institutional partnerships and exploring potential collaborations in key areas for the social development of Honduras.
DanlĂ, Honduras – As part of their integrative course, the 2024 Agribusiness Master's cohort from Zamorano University recently visited HATSA, Honduras American Tabaco S.A., in DanlĂ, Honduras. The group, made up of 14 students from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Ecuador, had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the tobacco production process, from cultivation to industrial processing.
