Zamorano University continues to contribute to global knowledge on rural development and gender equity. Two of its researchers, Francis Denisse McLean-Rodríguez and Arie Sanders, authored the chapter “Women Smallholder Farmers Growing Horticultural Crops” in the book Women and Smallholder Farming: Addressing Global Inequities in Agriculture, edited by Carolyn Sachs (Penn State University) and Paige Castellanos (Oxfam America).

Zamorano University welcomed Roberto Vega, Vice President of Agronomy, Research, Development, and Sustainability at Starbucks Corporation, for a visit aimed at strengthening the relationship between both institutions and exploring potential areas for future collaboration focused on sustainability, innovation, and the development of the coffee sector.

Art on Campus 2025 once again reaffirmed its mission as a space for creativity and artistic expression within the Zamorano community. As part of the official QS Stars Awards ceremony, Zamorano University was recognized for its outstanding performance in the QS Stars international evaluation, a system that assesses the performance of higher education institutions against global standards of academic quality.

Zamorano University took part in the II International Summit of Agricultural Leaders, an event that brought together influential voices from across the sector to share experiences, inspire the next generation, and strengthen collaboration networks shaping the future of Latin American agriculture.

Zamorano University celebrated the closing ceremony of the Regional Diploma Program in Microfinance for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Initiatives, a pioneering program that brought together 23 executives from the financial sector from 5 Central American countries, representing 18 financial institutions in the region.

On Thursday, September 18, Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from the Agricultural Trade Development Center (CDCA) of El Salvador, an agency under the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG).

Zamorano University welcomed a delegation from the Rural Development Administration of Korea to its campus as part of an exploratory visit aimed at learning about Zamorano’s institutional capacities and its potential to become part of the international network of KOPIA Centers (Korea Program on International Agriculture).
