Art on Campus 2025: Expression and Community

Art on Campus 2025 once again reaffirmed its mission as a space for creativity and artistic expression within the Zamorano community. This year’s edition featured painting and photography exhibitions showcasing the talent and unique perspectives of students, faculty, staff, and residents through their artwork.

The event took place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, as part of the LIDER Program, and was organized by the Wilson Popenoe Library, the Art Club, and the Office of Student Affairs. Its goal was to strengthen the connection between art and university life, fostering spaces for cultural dialogue and community engagement.

Participants were recognized in two categories. The winners were:

· First place: Esto pasa rápido, painting by Ever Hernández

· Second place: Cristian Van Den Bergh, photography category

· Third place: Quebrada de Santa Inés, painting by Gracia Mendoza

The jury included President Keith L. Andrews and Mrs. Margoth de Andrews, Honduran artist Vilma Monehans, and Dina Lagos, artist and representative of the Museo de Identidad Nacional (MIN). The panel praised the technical quality and conceptual depth of the works presented.

All participating pieces will remain on display at the Wilson Popenoe Library, inviting the Zamorano community to enjoy an exhibition that reflects the diversity, sensitivity, and talent of those who make up our university.
