Zamorano University welcomed students from the Global MBA program at UNITEC Business School as part of the completion of the “Business Sustainability: ESG and SDGs” unit within the Governance, Ethics, and Sustainability Module.
After completing the theoretical phase virtually, the purpose of the visit was to complement classroom learning through hands-on field experiences focused on technological innovations in renewable energy, water management, and waste management — initiatives that organizations can implement to strengthen the environmental pillar of their ESG strategies.
The visit included the participation of 12 students accompanied by academic and administrative staff from UNITEC Business School.
As part of the agenda, the group explored several initiatives and institutional systems implemented by Zamorano University focused on sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The day began with a visit to the campus Solar Park, where participants learned firsthand about the university’s approach to clean energy and energy efficiency. The group later toured the campus water management systems, including source protection, water treatment, and purification processes.
During the visit, participants were also introduced to the university’s institutional waste management system, highlighting practices and processes aimed at strengthening sustainability and promoting responsible waste management across campus.
The experience concluded with a tour of the central campus, allowing participants to learn more about Zamorano University’s Learning-by-Doing educational model, as well as the academic and productive infrastructure that positions the institution as a leader in agricultural higher education in Latin America.
