Master's Degree in Nutrition and Community Development

Master's degree in the process of approval by the Directorate of Higher Education (DES).

The Master's program in Nutrition and Community Development in each of its areas of emphasis offers the degree of professionalizing master's degree, through essential courses on the subject to strengthen the knowledge and skills that allow operationalizing policies, programs and projects related to agriculture and food systems, in nutrition-sensitive elements or tools for greater impact. That affects most of the population in countries, either due to deficiency or excess in food consumption. 

The master's degree is aimed at professionals from different disciplines at the undergraduate level, who are working in institutions, preferably collaborating with nutrition in Latin America. The candidate is expected to have at least one year of experience in topics related to nutrition from a food perspective. Likewise, you will be able to be part of this master's degree if you work in institutions related to nutrition management, from the government level, with policies and programs, as well as with the executive level, NGOs and other agencies involved. 

This program offers essential courses to strengthen knowledge and skills related to agriculture and agri-food systems, with the aim of positively impacting the nutrition of the population.   

Modality: blended learning with online classes 

Duration: eighteen months (divided into three semester modules)

Number of credits: forty-three
