Starbucks Executive Visits Zamorano to Explore Opportunities in Coffee Innovation and Sustainability

Zamorano University welcomed Roberto Vega, Vice President of Agronomy, Research, Development, and Sustainability at Starbucks Corporation, for a visit aimed at strengthening the relationship between both institutions and exploring potential areas for future collaboration focused on sustainability, innovation, and the development of the coffee sector.

During his time on campus, Mr. Vega met with Zamorano’s academic and technical leadership, and learned about ongoing projects in teaching, applied research, and community outreach that promote innovation, productivity, and sustainability in coffee production across Honduras and Latin America.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on academic and research initiatives that drive progress in the coffee value chain, reflecting a shared interest in advancing education and sustainable agricultural development in the region.
