  • Founded in 1942, Zamorano is a university with a long tradition and prestige. It is considered by governments and the private sector as a strategic partner for the advancement of agricultural programs and enterprises that benefit not only Honduras, but all Latin America.
  • Nuestro campus es un jardín botánico que abarca 4,500 hectáreas, ubicado en el corazón de las Américas en Honduras, a tan solo 30 km de Tegucigalpa.
  • We have laboratories, research centers, production and marketing units, as well as an agro-industrial park for hands-on learning in real environments.
  • We protect the Uyuca Biological Reserve, which covers a total area of 907 hectares full of biodiversity in fauna and flora.
  • We have a solar park that supplies 37% of Zamorano's energy demand.

The first career is developed: Agricultural technician.

It is an institution registered in Delaware, United States; headquartered and operating in Honduras. In Honduras it is registered as International Mission.

1987

First engineering program: Agronomy.

1998

The curricula of the careers are completed:

  • Agronomy engineering
  • Food science and technology engineering
  • Department of Environment and Development
  • Agribusiness management engineering

2018

Master in Sustainable Tropical Agriculture

2021+

En 2021, se crea el programa de Educación Continua Zamorano (ZEED). 

Posteriormente, se añadieron los programas de Maestría en Agronegocios en 2021 y la Maestría Ejecutiva en Agronegocios en 2022.
