El equipo de investigaci\u00f3n document\u00f3 109 espec\u00edmenes. Se identificaron 70 a nivel de especie, y 39 a nivel de g\u00e9nero, lo que refleja tanto los avances como los retos que plantea el estudio de esta familia tan diversa. Antes de este estudio, solo 12 especies de Tortricidae hab\u00edan sido reportadas para Honduras.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">The findings highlight Honduras as an underexplored hotspot for lepidopteran diversity (<i>hotspot<\/i>) poco explorado para la diversidad de lepid\u00f3pteros. El estudio se basa en d\u00e9cadas de recolecci\u00f3n de espec\u00edmenes, colecciones de investigaci\u00f3n institucionales, revisiones bibliogr\u00e1ficas y m\u00e1s de 500 registros fotogr\u00e1ficos de\u00a0iNaturalist. Sorprendentemente, los autores estiman que al menos una cuarta parte de la fauna\u00a0tortricida\u00a0de Honduras sigue sin describirse.
