Zamorano Unisversity hosted the signing of scholarship agreements under the Scholarship Program implemented in partnership with the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL), an initiative that continues to expand access to quality higher education for young Hondurans. Today, this partnership benefits more than 180 Honduran students across different academic years and degree programs at Zamorano University, representing an investment of more than L 60 million in scholarships.<\/p>

The event brought together authorities from both institutions to reaffirm their shared commitment to education as a catalyst for social mobility, sustainable development, and the creation of new opportunities for Honduran youth. The SEDESOL delegation was led by F\u00e1tima Ju\u00e1rez, Secretary of State for Social Development; Ivelis Ayala, Director of Scholarship Programs; Rosa G\u00e1lvez, Director of External Cooperation; along with members of the Scholarship Program's technical team and the Protocol and Communications team.<\/p>

The centerpiece of the event was the signing of the scholarship agreements. On behalf of Zamorano University, the agreements were signed by President Jeff Cohen, reaffirming the joint commitment of both institutions to education as a driver of the country's development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The ceremony was also attended by Zamorano University's academic and administrative leadership, including Dr. Ana Maier, Vice President and Academic Dean; Alejandro Osorio, Director of Institutional Development; Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Baires, Honduras Fundraising Manager; Emily Moradel, Director of Strategy and Innovation; Celia Trejo, Director of the Department of Agricultural Sciences and Production; Hetter Joseph N\u00fa\u00f1ez, Director of the Department of General Education; and Mar\u00eda Francisca Corrales, Institutional Projects Specialist.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The visit also gave the SEDESOL delegation the opportunity to learn more about Zamorano University's educational model, academic and production facilities, and the learning environments where students develop through a comprehensive approach that combines academic excellence, values-based education, leadership, and hands-on experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
